Dear Parents/ Carers
Autumn has definitely arrived but the children enjoyed some glorious sunshine earlier in the week. It was lovely to see them all so active outside and enjoying themselves. Lots of team work and co-operation going on!
In the Gospel this week we hear about how a wealthy young man whose love of possessions stopped him from finding true happiness. By living in the way Jesus taught us, knowing God loves us and in turn loving each other, following him and caring for those around, we can find happiness. St Teresa of Calcutta said ‘We will be the happiest people if we belong to God’.
This week Joseph Hammil and talented musician from the group Cattle & Cane came into school to write our St Benedict’s School song. We love it and the children have been singing it all week in school! The words reflect our mission, vision and values in St Benedict’s to ‘Pray together, learn together.’
I look forward to seeing you all at the Bingo and Quiz Night next week!
